Mosquito, Tick and Flea Prevention

Ticks can carry the pathogens for ten human diseases and spread illnesses such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and Anaplasmosis, which can cause fever, headache, chills, and muscle aches. Ticks are among the most efficient carriers of disease because they attach firmly when sucking blood, feed slowly and may go unnoticed for a considerable amount of time while feeding.

Pet owners and parents alike are concerned with tick prevention because a tick bite can have serious implications for children and pets.  Ticks cannot jump or fly. They can only crawl. Ticks wait for host animals from the tips of grasses and shrubs. When brushed by a moving animal or person, they quickly let go of the vegetation and climb onto the host. To avoid this, use prevention methods to keep ticks out of your yard in the first place. Let Lawn and Order Twin Cities spray your yard and set up a barrier for these intruders. Since our barrier sprays target shrubbery, we already zone in on where ticks live and wait for a host. Don’t let that host be you! Call us today for a free quote.

All-Natural Mosquito, Tick, and Flea Deterrent

Lawn and Order Twin Cities understands that not every yard is the same, which is why we offer different treatment options to fit those needs. One of these options is our all-natural treatment.

What is it?

Lawn and Order Twin Cities offers an all-natural mosquito repellent as an alternative to our longer-lasting synthetic treatment. This treatment uses essential oils and garlic to repel mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas from your property. When applied the essential oils are diluted in water and become a low dose product that will allow you and your family to enjoy a bite-free yard.

How is it applied?

The application is administered through a barrier spray system targeting shrubs, plants, flowers, vegetable gardens, and around ponds where mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas like to rest and feed.

While treating, we also inspect your property for active larvae populations and treat them accordingly. Your technician will help you identify potential mosquito breeding grounds in your yard and recommend ways to eliminate standing water. These notes will be left on the post-service door hanger at the end of the treatment.

Is it effective?

The all-natural solution not only repels mosquitoes, but it is also effective on other pests such as ticks, fleas, and some flies. However, it has less adhesive properties than our synthetic application. Because of this, the all-natural solution will act as a repellent to deter new mosquitoes for a shorter time period and requires spraying on a 14-day cycle to ensure adequate protection. While this solution does not offer the eradication properties of our synthetic spray, we stand by its effectiveness as a natural outdoor mosquito repellent solution and our guarantee of your satisfaction.
